School = Montrose Primary School Leicester City

Objective = Create a 12ft recycled metal crocodile for the entire school to be inspired to write stories about the schools ‘Ravine’

Conclusion = This recycled metal crocodile sculpture is now a permanent sculpture within the ‘Ravine,’ children will be inspired for years on after to write amazing stories about the crocodile & creatures which life in their schools ‘Ravine’.

School = Harby Primary School Melton Mowbray Leicestershire

Objective = Create a recycled Swan Sculpture with both Ks 2 Pupils & educate children about recycled art & sculpture

Conclusion = All Ks 2 pupils participated, pupils were taught how recycled carrier bags can be used to create an amazing swan sculpture. The swan sculpture is the schools Logo & all new pupils are able to alter the look of the swan year after year by attaching more recycled carrier bags

School = Birchwood Special School Melton Mowbray Leicestershire

Objective = Create a sculpture to raise awareness of the amount of materials which can be recycled

Conclusion = Students ages between 11-16 with special learning needs were mesmerised into creating this amazing 5ft tin-can character called General Birchwood. This school mascot was designed by selected students & have gained valuable learning achievements such as character design, techniques on how to use glue guns, teamwork & how to create amazing recycled artwork. This sculpture was covered by the Leicester Mercury.

School = St Bartholomew’s COFE Primary School Quorn Loughborough Leicestershire

Objective = Afternoon curriculum sessions were created for all Ks 2 Pupils during a week long period, pupils needed to gain further Knowledge how recycling can assist with waste management.

Conclusion = Pupils were taught how to re-use carrier bags and turn them into amazing everlasting panda bears. Other characters created were messenger pigeons from recycled envelopes & owls from recycled books.
